How the New SnapBatch Came to Be...

Well, SnapBatch version 1 was a good thought last year, but this is 2013 and a new year for a new thought!  Our founder, Maurice, had an epiphany at a local bar one night (which he actually wanted to remember) while he was watching a local band. 

What was the problem...why don't venues have the ability to view and keep crowdsourced photos and videos that attendees take during an event?  How much branding and direct marketing are they losing by not having this control?  When someone takes a picture or a video...poof...it's on to their Facebook page or Pinterest site.  It could be a case where someone comments on the venue's service or quality being poor, but loves the band. 

Those are dollars the venue could be losing in future visits without even knowing why...shame!

Through a white-boarding experience, we came up with the answer...give the venue the ability to grab these photos, give the attendee an incentive for uploading their photos and voila...you have SnapBatch Part Deux!

How SnapBatch got started

How it began

I think behind every good application comes a story on how it got started. We may watch or ready stories on how companies got there start and their journey to success. Well with SnapBatch even though it's not a hit just yet, their is still a story to tell. Between 2008-2011 alot of fun exciting thing were going on in my life that allowed me and my family to capture many pictures and videos. My wife gave birth to our first child, I was graduating college, my grand-mother turned 80, I got married and went on a honeymoon trip to mexico and much more. I thought to myself, I wish there was a place I could organize all these albums and share them with my friends and family and also give them access to add pictures as well.

As me and my wife returned from our honeymoon we had hundreds of pictures between us to sort through and find a way to organize them. We had family who wanted us to share some of our fun moments with them and we had some photos that we did not want anyone to see but us (viewer discretion LOL). Having SnapBatch really helped us keep everything organized, easily accessable and sharable with our family memebers.
